Help your community in a crisis
We believe everyone, everywhere deserves to get the help they need in a crisis. You can help us be here for humanity when its needed most.
By becoming a community reserve volunteer (CRV), you will be there for your community to prepare, respond and recover in the event of a major local emergency, so they are ready for whatever comes next.
Together, you will work under the guidance of our skilled and experienced emergency response volunteers and staff and will be ready to lend a hand as part of a British Red Cross response when crisis strikes.
Join our growing network of volunteers today and be here for humanity in the hardest moments.
CRVs have supported with:
- deliveries
- sorting donations
- marshalling
- handing out water and refreshments
- taken part in exercises to help our services and our partners be prepared for future emergencies.
Anyone can become a CRV; no specialist skills are needed. You will work alongside British Red Cross staff and volunteers to take on tasks that don’t require training. We’ll tell you everything you need to know before you start your task or shift. This is a reserve or stand by role which means you will only be contacted if additional support is required.
You just need to meet the criteria below.
